Makenna Turns Two!!

Playing in her new tent!

Opening presents

Decorating the cake!

My baby is TWO!! I still can't believe how quickly this time has slipped by me! My sweet snuggler has decided she is now miss independent. She refuses help with dressing, eating, or let alone anything. She will spend thirty minutes working on getting her shoes on/off by herself. If you try to help she insists on starting all over! She is so full of joy and love. Eager to share a smile with anyone nearby!
We decided this year to just celebrate her birthday at home with our family! Kaela enjoyed helping me bake her cake, wrap presents, and decorate with Barney party gear! I think Kaela enjoyed the party more then Makenna. Here are a few pics from her day!

Happy 2nd Birthday Makenna!!

We've been playing at the park a lot these past few weeks! It's a great way to burn off some much needed energy. Here are a few quick pics!

The hunt!!

Before the first egg hunt

I'm a little late with my easter pics....sorry! At least I still made it in the month of April! The girls truly had a great time this year. It was a joy to watch Makenna discover how an easter egg hunt worked. We had our traditional Moon-Bach egg hunt with the neighbors in the morning. We could barely hold back Kaela and V, while Makenna didn't quite know what was going on. She gladly ran behind the big girls though, and once she discovered there was something inside the eggs she was SUPER excited! We headed off to Grandma Moon's after all the eggs were emptied. Aunt Debby and Malinda hid 90 eggs this year!! The farm is always a fun place for an egg hunt with all the little nooks and hiding places. This time we could barely hold Makenna back because she was ready to go! We enjoyed a great home cooked meal by Grandma Moon, visited the horses, and headed home full of candy and love!

Baby Caroline

Auntie Brooke is a good work friend of mine who used to watch Kaela when she was younger. Brooke's baby shower was the first one Kaela had ever been to where she was old enough to understand!! She was intrigued that Brooke had a baby in her tummy, but confused when we left. She said, "Mommy, I didn't see a baby's shower anywhere in that house!" She was so serious and literal it made me laugh. We recently went to visit Brooke and sweet baby Caroline! Kaela wanted to hold her the entire time and was very loving and nuturing towards her. Makenna was more skeptical but still very sweet. It was exciting to see Brooke as a mom now...she's such a natural! Caroline was adorable and stayed awake the entire time we were there! She's already a great hostess!! Congrats Dustin and Brooke!!
